AH Inositol Duo is a dietary supplement in capsules providing two forms of inositol: myo-inositol and d-chiro-inositol.
Inositol in two forms
Inositol, which was once called vitamin B8, is structurally similar to glucose, but its effect on the body is completely different. In nature, it occurs in as many as 9 different stereoisomers. However, one form dominates in supplementation: myo-inositol. The second, less frequently used, but worth attention form is d-chiro-inositol.
Both forms of inositol, myo-inositol and d-chiro-inositol, are very similar, but they show some differences in the way they interact with the human body. Using them together can produce synergistic effects that can produce better results than using each of them alone, as has been noted in many scientific experiments.
