Apollo's Hegemony+ 5-MTHF is a dietary supplement containing the so-called third-generation active folate - 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF). It is a highly bioavailable, methylated form of folate.
Folate is a group of compounds, also referred to as vitamin B9, that exhibit the biological activity of folic acid. Tetrahydrofolate is the metabolically active form of folic acid. For this reason, active folate is especially recommended for people who have problems with the correct metabolism of synthetic folic acid, such as in the case of the MTHFR gene polymorphism.
