Cordyceps (Cordyceps sinensis), actually Chinese Cordyceps, is a species of parasitic fungus naturally found in Nepal and Tibet. It has been used in Chinese herbal medicine for centuries. Europeans got to know its properties better in 1993. At the Olympics held then in Beijing, Chinese runners delighted with their high form and results. It turned out that all competitors used Cordyceps sinensis mycelium extracts.
