N-Acetylcysteine as a precursor of glutathione
Glutathione is the main endogenous antioxidant in the human body. It works, among others: in the liver, participating in detoxification processes. NAC, i.e. N-Acetylcysteine, is a precursor of glutathione. Several building blocks are required for the production of glutathione, of which NAC is usually the one whose poor availability may constitute a bottleneck in the case of functional glutathione deficiencies.
Artichoke extract standardized to cynarin
Artichoke is known as a plant that benefits the liver and the entire digestive tract. It helps in digestion, promotes the flow of digestive juices, and helps maintain liver health. Moreover, it helps maintain intestinal comfort.
Cynarin is the most important biologically active substance for humans contained in artichoke leaves. It is a derivative of hydroxycinnamic acid, and chemically it is an ester formed from the combination of quinic acid and two molecules of caffeic acid.
