Parcel from the UK warehouse Affron® is a patent-protected saffron extract, standardized for the content of bioactive lepticrosalides. It is believed to be the highest-quality saffron stigmas extract that is currently available on the market. It has successfully passed clinical trials on adults and adolescents aged 12 to 16 and was confirmed to show antidepressant and anxiolytic properties.
Affron® is produced with the use of flowers from specially-grown plants from Crocus sativus L. genus. Tiny pistils, the so-called signs of saffron, are hand-picked. The extract is made using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) – an advanced analytical technique used to purify the raw material and identify chemical compounds. Each stage of manufacture (cultivation, harvesting of raw material, production of the extract) is subject to strict control, conducted by the global certification leader, Bureau Veritas.
