Amino acids per 100 g protein, is a unit of content of each amino acid per 100 g of protein (often interchangeably given by manufacturers - content of amino acids in 100 g), it should not be confused with 100 g of protein supplement. Proteins are divided into polymers (protein complex) and monomers (amino acids). By definition, the monomers are compounds capable of polymerization. Amino acids (monomers) are built of nitrogen, oxygen, sulphur, carbon and hydrogen. They are the necessary ingredients for the development of tissues, can be found in hormones, enzymes, and various biologically active substances. Compound proteins (polymers) are produced in the polymerization process. Simple proteins take part in, regulates and controles the course of vital functions (metabolic processes, energy conversion).
