Jojoba Seed Extract (simmondsin) is an extract from the seeds of the plant Simmondsiadaceae (Simmondsia chinensis), plants growing on the desert areas in the south-western part of North America (although the name of the taxonomy of plants erroneously indicate the origin of China). Jojoba seed extract has no proven research on human organisms (the only study was done on rats and poultry). From the observation of the application of the extract jojoba found a decrease in appetite, weight loss, increased levels of growth hormone (somatotropin STH and GH) and thyroxine treated animals experiments. Although no scientific studies carried out on the human body, jojoba extracts can be found in slimming diet supplementation.
